The new Season is just around the corner kicking off on Thursday 5th April at Exeter Golf Club.

we are looking at arranging a preseason game at Dawlish warren on Wednesday 28th February 2018.
Aiming for a tee off around 10.00 Am, £20.00 golf only.
it would be good to catch up before the season kicks off and get back in to the swing of things.
format is golf only no prizes or 2’s except for some nearest the pin prizes.

There is only 1 spaces left on tour and it will be 1st come 1st served so if your do want to go please get your deposits to John ASAP.
Very good turn out and the weather was very good for the time of year which helped to make the golf more enjoyable.
Again very good welcome, atmosphere and food at Teign Valley and think it is safe to say we are all looking forward to next years event in June.
just a few things left to say, Thank you and well done to Simon Challis on his 2017 captaincy and good luck on his Atlantic crossing on Sunday with his wife to New York
Also congratulations to Mike Partridge on his retirement and hope he enjoys the easy life. in all honesty I think he decided to do this back in early October so he can improve on his golf and make sure he does not win the wooden spoon again.

For numerous reasons the tour will revert back to the original weekend of the open.
Tour will now be held on Friday 20th July until Sunday 22nd July 2018.

Saturday 1st tee 12.10 hrs on the lakes course (take note it’s called the lake’s for a reason)
Sunday 1st tee 10.30 hrs on the National course.
the tour will be still at the Vale resort @ Cardiff link below, total cost of the tour will be £295.00 including prizes.
we are looking at getting 24 for tour next year and there is a few new potential new members and tour members for next year, but as always previous year members get priority 1st.

Not a bad turn out for the end of season, weather stayed dry and the course was in very good condition as always.
Very good food again at the Royal Beacon and also a good turn out, hopefully we can speed the service up a little faster for next year.

The Cover club managed to take the trophy after a epic win 6.5 V 5.5
it was close game in the end and it came to the last game for the deciding win.
well done to both teams who attended the day and I think we all can agree the course was in very good condition and the food and service was a high standard.
on behalf of the Exmouth town well done cover club and Trevor we will look forward at taking the trophy back next year.
Another year has past for 5th year for the Graham Brown memorial trophy and on behalf of the Exmouth town golf society we are please to say that a member of Grahams family has won the trophy this year,
Congratulations to John-Paul Williams winning the trophy with a score of 38 points plying of a handicap of 18, we will be glad to see John-Paul back next year to see if he can retain his trophy off his new handicap?.
Graham Brown was a huge fan of the golf society and with the help of the Family and Ray Dwan who has helped very much to make this event happen and with Ray’s help to continue to make this very successful event in the years to come.
And as always it is always nice to see Mel (Grahams wife) turn up for the presentation. And after the 3rd year of threatening to play in the event perhaps next year could be the ONE. watch this space Hey Mel.
